Russia never really became western,I genuinely don't think ''God is Dead'' applies here,even if the communists tried to support atheism
As for China,they started pushing for Confuscianism in schools and universities,but not really ''full'' Confuscianism,they just want nationalism.
The issue with Confuscianism from the Chinese goverments perspective is that it puts the central orbit of life on the local family level and literally says unethical and dishonorable rulers should be removed by revolution
Also China is completely fucked when it comes to birthrates too,if they can't get them to replacement level in 50 years this will have such a big impact on society in might lead to another warlord period
