I’d like to ask talk about and ask some questions about our zeitgeist, lit. There's some very intelligent people here who have a keen sense of what is happening in the world and I'm a bit lost at the moment. With zeitgeist I mean this sort of invisible cultural net that connects us all. I've always been a fan of "feeling out" what the world is going through, but I'm a bit lost at the moment. I've lost my ability to see what's happening and I'm not sure if it's just me or actually part of the evolution. I think maybe my disconnection (and everybody elses) is part of the next step of the cultural evolution. I'd like some input from people here.

I’ve noticed the only place that our psyche’s can still express themselves is inwardly bound. There is no longer any capability for our psyches to express themselves with others through the zeitgeist. this results in either autistic placidity (backrooms meme in children, total non-interactivity with the outside, a return to formless, nameless void of non-form, non-expression) or schizophrenic implosion (a haywire ego-less jumping in the primordial soup of Anima Mundi, inarticulation and rampant self-explosion). Our psyches have no longer any way to communicate with other psyches. So external expression can no longer connect with others as it previously could through the express highway of the internet and has no other way to go but inside. The era of global connectivity is over. What is next?

What I’ve witnessed in artists and personally felt is a pretty sinister “end of something” feeling. I’ve always assumed that we were all feeling the actual end of the world, but what I now believe is the end of our global zeitgeist. What I believe we’re feeling and experiencing is this end of global communication, the end of the age of internet hyper zeitgeist. But it could also possibly be the end of the world too as we're approaching some kind of "great reset". Thoughts? Is my view too limited? Am I extrapolating something minor and personal into something that is all-encompassing?

I think cultural communication and in human connectivity in general will return to more traditional, local "clades". Separated groups, islands, clusters, on the internet (in forums like this one), but mostly off the internet. In real life it does seem that the internet still has a strong hold on people, but only as a hijacking and propagandizing tool, not for actual cultural communication, and not for people who are really thinking, people who might separate themselves from the mass hysteria of today. The separate egregore of humanity will spring back and evolve in distant bubbles. Thoughts?

if this is "fanfic" you can suck my nuts jannies, I'm asking questions here on a board filled with people that regularly discusses sociology, psychology, carl jung, culture , etc.. if you want literature discussion, i'd like to recommend Jean Baudrillard, Carl Jung, Phillip K dick, Rudolph Steiner, Laozi

Any posts welcome, thanks

i have this theory brewing in my head that combines autism, schizotypy, religion, narcissism, power, the 21st century’s mechanisms of control & subversion, and then some. but i'm not sure if it's already been written about, could anybody tell me if they recognize this somewhere? I'm guessing D&G's schizophrenia & capitalism is close, but i hope some smart guys here can tell me what they think and if it's been written about before, and any discussion is welcome of course, thankyou

it goes like this: biologic animals, including humans have a need for ‘expatriating’ power, exporting power to some other entity (religion) and/or coalescing with something greater (tribe, society). The individuals who have the greatest need for this are more prone to schizotypy, personality disorders & narcissism. Autism as seen through the lens of a solo hunter gatherer mindset acts as a counteracting force to this need for expatriating power and is a mostly self-sufficient and self-empowering psyche. Our industrial society and the forces that be use our internal need for this to fuel consumption, atomization of communities, insanity, all the good stuff, etc. through our innate tendency towards narcissism when we are unable to ‘expatriate’ power or coalesce with something greater.
