I think this idea that men and women do almost anything equally, both ways, like a two way street, is delusional. Men and women are different, there is almost nothing that they do for each other than is exactly the same both ways, it has never been true, and it never will be. You could say that women are worthless because they have no hope of defending themselves, and you could say that men are worthless because they couldn't breastfeed a child and get pregnant and continue the human race. But obviously it's a bunch of nonsense. Women do not "love" men like a man "loves" a woman, men and women are different. Although I wish it was true, the idea of "love" in the sense that you mean is really a male thing, and it can only be applied from a man, not from a woman, because a woman has a woman's brain, not a man's brain. The whole idea of love as it appears in literature is a man's concept.

Women and men are not the same, and so they can't both have the same feelings for each other. Although I am sure that this god forsaken society we live in now where ladies are encouraged to post videos of themselves sucking someone's penis on onlyfans is only making things worse, it doesn't mean that women were some perfect angels before all this. This is how it has always been. You can read I don't know how many books with men chasing women who never return their affection, books published last year, and books from 2000 years ago. This is obviously a constant in human relations. Since men write most literature, and since most men want to love and have a woman, obviously literature is full of this
