This is why, despite is terrible writing, I deeply enjoy his books. Whereas Martin will talk about a sword for 50 pages that ends up getting thrown in a fucking river or smelted or w/e Cook just gets to the good parts. It's like he Cliff Notes his own work. I admire his work ethic, direction (he knows where the story is going, unlike Martin), and imagination.

His writing could use some polish, though.

When I'm not in the right frame of mind to write I come to /lit/.

I lurk, I post, I read the debates.

I feel stimulated.

I feel more intellectual.

I feel motivated.

I write.
