I haven't found a Manga or Comic that is better or somehow equal than an average good book. Unless you are a child or are more interested in the drawings than the rest you should not waste your time with them.
Everything from Asterix to Tintin to Berserk to oyasumi punpun can be entertaining. Be aware, that they are overhyped by children, teenagers and manchildren that don't know any better.
Mangas often excell at world building but fail at the last third of the story or try to create geniuses that are clearly cleverer than their writers.
