what do you think about him? for me some stuff hits very hard but then iIend up thinking about playing a drinking game by taking shots whenever I see "western civilization"

The guy rambles on continously like it’s his diary, inserts philosophical “insights” he copy pasted or worse - tries his own OC like second rate /lit/ poster, at pretty evenly dispursed intervals, and the worst part? The guy is a sex deviant and addict, dare I say even a pedo, and his books are full of unnecessary lewd descriptions he wrote seemingly for no other purpose than to get himself off.

He can’t even properly introduce and develop interesting characters. Most of his so called characters are used to create bizzare sexual scenes or to do something incredibly banal he then analyzes for a page and a half, always coming away with some depressing conclusion- right before going back to gang banging scene with super hot 16 yearolds.

Pathetic.

If you had to describe something as Houellebecqian, what kind of thing would it involve?

My own definition of "Houellebecqian" would refer to a situation wherein individuals acted in a brutally selfish way in part as a result of socio-economic forces which have encouraged them to do so.

For example, in The Guardian today is an article about a 30-year-old web developer who got drunk with a younger girl he met on a dating site, and then took her out on his speedboat until it crashed, and she drowned.

This sentence is particularly "Houellebecqian":
