You'd just be wasting your time when literally all you need to know is in >>13182253, ya dunce.

Literally just read the wiki page on shorthands, practice a bunch, and don't forget to keep things phonetic. If you want to go deeper, pick up an introductory book on Arabic and skim it to get an idea of what an elegant/beautiful shorthand looks like. Remember though, its better to make things up as you go along than rely too much on having to memorize somebody else's creativity.

If you really want to take thing's a step further, read How to Read Egyptian Hieroglyphs by Mark Collier and Bill Manly. They will show you the basic rules of Egyptian, which allows aesthetics to take precedent of direction, and will free you from the constraints of writing left to right. It will also teach you about using symbols which have both ideographic and phonetic meaning. Also read the section on creating pictographs in Libre Null Psychonaut. It's an interesting concept, and extremely useful mnemomic tool. Reading tarot cards can also help understand the usefulness of symbols which don't have necessarily "clear" meanings attached to them.

As you start to expand your vocabulary, it's useful to branch into different civilizations than our own. Ancient Egypt had nine different symbols for "soul", each with it's own nuance and meaning. Similarly, the Greeks had as many words for "love". There's no reason not to pillage and simplify these concepts for your own use, while also expanding your capacity for expression.

Approach language as something to be created, not studied, and use study to aid your own creative endeavors.
