The goal of the game is to "end up badly" I think. I would much rather be suffer than live a life of willful, smiling ignorance.

I've had this idea since highschool for a book and I'd like to hear some thoughts on the premise.
>Sci-fi magic mix
>set roughly 500 years in the future
>in 2050ish an experiment to make a particle go faster than light rewrote the rules of the universe creating "magic"
>magic is the ability to overwrite laws of physics and nature so you can create and destroy matter/energy)
>your skill in magic is determined by your understanding of physics and design
>computer chips can be implanted to increase your magical skill but are controlled by the gov
>society is post scarcity and people are immortal after magic
>the main issue in the story are machines called nirvana which most people are permanently in by choice to be milked for their magical energy
>nirvana machines are essentially machines that give you the feeling of heaven on earth and are used by government and corporations to power the world and create stuff

Any thoughts or advice is appreciated
