I liked it for two reasons: It acknowledges the most direct critical response to writing in the side notes that are written beside the text in several books, that is very personal. The second, I felt that the selflessness of Thomas and him considering a dead woman who went through abuse a very nice touch, it makes known the relevance of people who despite their fortitude and love of life they are in such deep shit that books are their escape. Overall I found it quite profound, it seems to incite reading not only between the lines but OUTSIDE them and that is just damn smart.

I‘ve no longer been coming here ever since I got a job and friends (additional to my study). Nothing’s really changed here in those months.
I‘ve been reading more than I ever did when I browsed this place, but my life hasn’t really improved; although my writing has far more sparse yet higher in quality.
From this I take that there’s not really a reason to come here when that time could be spent on reading more or doing anything else. The sole reason to come here repeatedly is to live here in this circus, spinning around itself in vacuum. Posting itself seems to be just a sorry excuse for socialising in that it’s neither social nor really all that enjoyable with the premise of posting in the first place and for coming here being undermined through both because neither do people here read or talk about literature in any way desirable to them or others on this platform.
You can really leave at any time. Not so much through will and force but simply lack of interest in this addictive parasocial process. I‘ve left without even doing anything.
Nonetheless I‘ve come to set a gravestone with this message.
Look for friends who don’t care about books; go outside, touch grass; don’t be so stiff and serious; there is significance in all things, to be found.
Pray for a marked mass grave, because chance alone will change your substance.

In practise I‘ll just say that many older anon probably left during or after these somewhat final corona months, leaving mostly newfags and midwits posting. Some decent people still lurk but given time they‘ll retire fully and even forget this place, if just through another medias memetics.
