Can anyone point me in the direction of work done regarding the information density of written language? I've been wondering if anyone has tried to understand or optimize the amount of meaning that can fit into the simplest visual unit. The spongebob meme oF CaPiTaLiZiNg every other letter to convey sarcasm is interesting. Kind of like a new punctuation. Memes in general seem to add context in unique way. How far has this idea been taken? I don't mean vernacular. You can endlessly stack acronyms or lingo, but that's just creating the potential for dense communication by memorizing more context options. Well, I guess memes fall into that category. I'm imagining the thing that makes twin language possible, something intrinsic, but expanded and refined as far as possible. Some version of esperanto with hieroglyphics? I'm just speculating, any recommendations of people who have explored this?
