memes aside, memerson is not a great writer, it's a book that doesn't really flow and the overlaying theme is not presented properly, lots of references though so if you are interested in any of the themes developed in any chapter you can go from there and get lots of related literature

i think it would be more fair to say that they reveal a functioning underlying logic or structure. not necessarily that the structure is eternal, unchangeable, unique, complete, or that alternatives to it may not be created at some point

but yeah he rejects blind adherence to progress and change and warns that when we leave things behind, we may be leaving more than we thought at the moment

The idea of god to humanity is the one presented to you by the religions of Abraham.
Each of these religions have middle men, priests, imams, rabbis, these people are the ones talking to god for you.
Most of humanity has no actual connection with god in this system.
And under this system there is only one god, a demented one who is angry and an asshole all the time.

I can see why people have turn away from religion living in this world.
But one shouldn't let this world blind them to the fight against materialism.

There is more than one god, and if there is one place god exists it is in our heads.
