most 'high literature' was written by richfags sitting in their homes writing their novels. Why would i want to read a book that came out of the mind of a richfag?

>that feel when you're a grown man who reads newbery books
>that feel when nothing moves your soul more than a coming of age story about a little girl
>that feel when the ache inside your heart as you read a book written from the first person perspective of an 11 year old
>that feel when everything is sadness and all you want is to escape into the imaginary world of a kid, seeing everything from their eyes
>that feel when the books are so short and all you want is one of these newbery books to be 11,000 pages long about the girl, detailing every boring day of her life
>that feel....

Man I watched Doctor Who when David Tennant was the doctor but now they have that guy who looks like a children's TV presenter and the little girl sidekick it made it impossible for me to deny that I was watching a children's TV show so I stopped watching half way through the first episode of the new series.

What's worse is that now I feel guilty for ever liking the show.

I don't know but I'm 100% certain that Monstrous Regiment is the same story except significantly better.

Okay /lit/, I don't know if you'll be able to help me out here or not, but I figured you were probably my best bet. There was(is) a bit nostalgia thread in /v/, and for some reason I suddenly remembered a book series I used to love when I was a child. Unfortunately, no one's been able to help me so far, so I figured I'd come here and see what you guys can do, since I know if I don't figure it out I'll be thinking about it for the next week. I'll post most of what I posted in /v/.

It was a series of books. I don't even know if they ever published them all, but there was supposed to be one for each day of the week (or at least the school week, I don't know).

I remember having Monday and Tuesday in the series, and it was basically about this weird-ass school where just a bunch of crazy shit happens.

I remember one of the characters being a burrito and another one having a pet pig or something.

I lost these books when we moved a long time ago, and I've forgotten their names. I remember reading them a lot because they were fucking awesome as hell back when I was a kid. I don't know how I'd feel about them now, but I'd like to know the names of the books if anyone can help.

And someone mentioned Sideways stories from Wayside school, but that isn't it.

It was far more ridiculous in nature, and dealt with stuff like a guy getting abducted by aliens in gym class, and something in particular happening to the burrito-kid but I don't know what exactly.

If anyone could help me out here I would be forever grateful. I don't really know if they were ever popular or not, but I don't remember anyone other than me ever having any of them.

Last night I had a dream that some friends and I broke into the Bodleian library and deposits. We found the most amazing books ever and I got myself the original manuscript of Seven Pillars of Wisdom. I had a major attack of conscience but in the end decided to take it because it was just stuck in a locker where nobody had read looked at it for about 20 years.

When I woke up I fully expected the manuscript to be on my bookshelf, but all there was my seventh edition, 1930 something copy where it always is.

So does anybody else get /lit/ related dreams?

yeah. the fact that i hate everything and end up deleting it or throwing it in the bin because i can't write. the fact i've had writer's block for months now. the fact i'm not creative or talented at all but all i want to do is write creative and talented stuff.

You don't have to call me dumb.
I've just never taken psychology seriously.
