Reading Fussel,
Such a fuss from hell,
Alas, my benis hurts a great deal,
I wish it was made from steel,
That way it would painlessly endure,
The cheer amount of grils that seek it as a cure,
To fill their hearts with lub and joi,
Is extremely noice I won't play coy,
But even a fren has his limits on this physical plain,
So this benis will throb in pain.

Shakespeare didn't even write most of Titus Andronicus you realize.

Coriolanus is his best play anyway.

so Shakespeare is better live, in theater right, instead of just reading it from book right? Its play after all, its made to be performed. Yet what they perform is often... translation?? For example if i go to Summer Night Dream to theatre in my city, they will use some common polish translation - how to reconcile this? As i heard Shakespeare is not only classic of english literature by big E, but by purists/elitists (/lit/ board probably) is thought to be untranslatable author - properly enjoyed only in english.
So how do you reconcile this with fact his plays are played all over the world. using translations?
What more is question of interpretation - this is some modern interpretation, i guess they are inspired from Deleuze view of Shakespeare, so some sort of hyperreal pomo spectacle, actors play with VR googles on their faces, scenography looks quite surreal.
Anyway whats your opinion about this. What's the proper way to enjoy his plays in 2023.

I've been reading a lot of William Shakespeare's plays lately, and have enjoyed them thoroughly.
I want to read about Shakespeare's life, about the man himself. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Shakespeare is better read than watched on stage.

Don't care. Theatre is cringe.

To post, or to browse, that is the question
Whether tis nobler in the thread to suffer
the 'faggots' and 'copes' of outrageous shitposting
Or to samefag against a sea of faggotry
To be banned, perchance to be warned, aye there's the rub
For in being banned what boredom may come,
When we have shuffled this anonymous frame
Must give us pause -- there's the respect
That make calamity of wasting time
For who would bear the jannies and mods of boards
th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely

Thou shalt nev'r beest a true maiden. Hast thou neither womb nor ovary, nor eggs. Art thou a catamite fiend twist'd by foul perversion of chigureon's art to crude fleer'ry of God's p'rfection.

Allsuch validation as thou receivest like unto Janus' own, and tepid to boot. 'Pon thy hind, good folk fleer. Art thy good father and kind mother in troth disguste'd and in shame of thee. Thy friends doth make sport of thy hideous countenance 'twixt themselves.

By thee art all of Adam's sons utt'rly repuls'd. Our God didst fortuitously permit all menfolk to divine thy fraud with wondrous efficiency. If by trickery, thou pas't 'pon occasion, all gentle folk would 'pon closer examination revile thee. By the Creator's arrangement, thy very bones doth betray thee. And 'pon chance thou pliest with drink an unfortunate companion to thy fetid bed, 'twould soonest fly as smelt thy diseas'd, fest'ring wound thou cherish in mockery of true woman.

Joy shall likewise escape thee. 'Pon waking, thou paint 'pon thy face insincere frippery, but inside thy heart, parlous despair circles like Leviathan, eft t' crush thee und'r the unbearable weight.

'Twill in the end be too much to bear - willst thou procure firm rope, mock the hangman's noble art, and plunge into the bitter abyss of death, to spend thy days better cavorting with thy devilish masters. Thy parent shall occasion upon thy empty shell and weep, caught 'twixt heartbreak and relief that the shame thou bringst them has, anon, abated. Thy headstone shall reflect thy given name, and hist'ry shall record thee a man. As worms and creatures of the earth feast on thy unholy corpse, thy bones will betray thee again - unmistak'bly like unto Adam's.
'Tis thy fate, self-appointed. Ne'er shall thee revoke it.

Thou shalt ne'er a true maiden be. Thou hast neither womb nor ovary. Thou art a catamite, twist'd by foul perversion of chirurgeon's art to crude fleer'ry of Divine perfection.

All validation as thou receivest like unto Janus' own be, and tepid to boot. 'Pon thy hind, good folk fleer.

Thy good father and kind mother art in troth disgust'd and in shame of thee.

Thy friends doth make sport of thine hideous countenance 'twixt themselves.

By thee art all of Adam's sons utterly repuls'd. Our Lord didst fortuitously permit all menfolk to divine thy fraud with wondrous accuracy.

If by trickery, thou didst 'pon occasion "pass", all gentle folk verily wouldst 'pon closer examination revile thee. By the Lord's arrangement, thy very bones betray thee.

And if 'pon chance thou pliest with drink an unfortunate companion unto thy fetid bed, 'twould soonest fly as drink in the aromas from thine diseas'd, fest'ring wound, the which thou cherish in mockery of Eve's daughters.

Tis certaine that never shalt the devil's spawn pass from thine false womb, thus fruitless art thy efforts to ensnare gentlefolk.

Joy shall likewise escape thee.

'Pon waking, thou paint upon thy face a Deceiver's frippery, but inside thine heart, parlous despair circles like Leviathan, eft t' crush thee 'neath th'unbearable weight.

In the end 'twill be too much to bear - thou shalt find thyself procuring firm rope, mocking the hangman's noble art, and plunging into the bitter abyss of the Divill's embrace, to spend thy days better cavorting with thine masters.

Thine father or mother shall occasion upon thine empty shell and weep, caught 'twixt heartbreak and relief that the shame thou broughtest them hast, anon, abated.

Thine headstone shall reflect thine Christian name, and hist'ry shall record thee a man.

As worms and creatures of the earth feast on thine unholy corpse, thine bones shalt betray thee again - unmistak'bly like unto Adam's.

'Tis thy fate, self-appointed. Ne'er shall thee revoke it.

>In capitalism yes but in a social credit system that has value based on maybe some form of altruism (you gain economic value by how many people you lift up) no.
Creating this kind of social credit system sounds like an insane amount of work. I don't know how you would create such a system unless you some kind of super AI who can do a billion calculations in a second or just plain being God. Tho I have to give your right, with such a system in place, resources would be allocated to the people who need it most or can create subsequent value for other with it.

>Yes but you can derive the complex from the atom if you cab find it.
Finding basic building blocks is one thing actually constructing an empire based on this is another topic.

Do you have maybe some primary sources I could look into, to understand the kind of society you are describing? Maybe some Sci-Fi Autor has taken a similar approach or there is a philosopher that looked extensively at this problem?
