Where to start with Aleister Crowley? Any charts?

Why is it that self-taught writers have more charm than University-educated writers? I'm talking about people like Jorge Luis Borges or Clark Ashton Smith, among many others. Does formal education kill creativity?

>So, how'd these scatter-brained fools manage to pump out a finished product?
Because they're not schizophrenic. I say this as somebody who's not only read a lot of "schizo-core" but also worked with a lot of schizophrenics. "Schizo-core" type writing is purely an aesthetic genre, and further, mostly romanticizes the condition, making it out to be something it isn't and misleading impressionable young bookish types like yourself.

Crowley is a great entry level occultist because:
>his work is colorful
>he was great at the whole theatre/cult of personality bit; a great artist, for sure
>he delivered a blatantly obfuscatory mysticized version of whatever he could steal from more honest philosophies such as Spinoza's, which is immediately apparent if you have an familiarity at all with Thelema and with real philosophy
>in-depth engagement with Crowley and related thought will lead to rapid disillusionment with occultism; you will either discard it as ridiculous obscurantism, or you will learn to tread more carefully and pick persons who may actually know what they're talking about as opposed to Crowley, who is only remembered today because he was the 19th/20th century equivalent of an attention-seeking celebrity
Crowley is shit, in short, but very entertaining, and great scaffolding to better things. You should read the Book of the Law right away.

I read the beginning, my question is if the end goal of gnosticism is to be dissolved into an external divine entity or to become one yourself

Can I get a recommendation for a good book about nutrition? I've just read Nutrition: A Very Short Introduction by David Bender. It's ok book, but he writes in a confusing manner. Any better but a bit more dense recommendation on introduction to nutrition?
