What do you prefer writing, /lit/? Prose or poetry?

Personally,I think it is much more fun and much more interesting to write poetry because of the text having a structure, which allows you to play around with words and construct your own meta into the words. I heart many people saying that writing poetry is extremely restricting, but I disagree. It opens many possibilities prose does not offer.

Milton was blind. He wrote the best poem in the English language.

You probably aren't blind. What have you done?

Milton is an overrated prat whose poetry is only remembered and appreciated by Christfags.

Discuss.

So, I'm about halfway through Paradise Lost, and will probably finish it on the plane. Based on the last books I have read, what might I read next?

Einstein - The World as I See It
The Upanishads
Crowley - Diary of a Drug Fiend
Corliss Lamont - The Humanist Manifesto
Baudelaire - Flowers of Evil

'Milton became fluent in many foreign and classical languages, including Italian, Greek, Latin, Aramaic, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Anglo-Saxon, and spoke some Dutch as well. His knowledge of most of these languages was immense and precocious. He wrote sonnets in Italian as a teenager. While a student at Cambridge, he was invited in his second year to address the first year students in a speech written entirely in Latin.'

Also, Milton was completely blind when he 'wrote' Paradise Lost,
