Around 2015 when we got swarmed with /pol/ newfags who viewed /lit/ as some kind of intellectual epicentre of 4chan that must be conquered.
They had no interest in reading, nevermind literature, and scared away the anons that were into literature.
It's not as bad now as it was in 15,16,17, but it's still Fucking awful.

We got flooded by teens who don't even read and had no interest in it. Consequently anons with an actual interest in literature found it a waste of time and went elsewhere.
It's such a dumpster fire now and the mods were fags for letting it happen.
