Pseuds. Explain why clichés and/or tropes are bad. Pro-tip: THEY AREN'T. Example: "bright light"/"blinding light". That's a cliché, but it's the optimal way to describe such a phenomena in English. Whatever gay "original" way you come up with to describe a bright or blinding light will be suboptimal and your writing will have been better served by the cliché.
