Philosophy can often enhance your experience of fiction (or art more generally). Try reading some aesthetics and philosophy of literature.

Not to mention, a lot of fiction uses philosophy for its themes, so reading philosophy can aid your understanding of this aspect of fictional stories.

Finally, there is quite a bit of philosophical fiction out there. Try out Dostoyevsky, Camus, or pic related.

Where to start with Plato?
Do I have to read something else before him?

i feel extremely stupid for saying this. but i get nothing of value from reading the greeks or really any philosopher. i learn nothing. i get nothing. i apply nothing. the main feeling i get when reading philosophy is how fucking arbitrary, useless, and pointless everything feels. philosophy is just a big, long winding road to fucking nowhere.
