I read the first trilogy and didn't like it.
The books gloss over major plot points and demand you to accept the story developments on faith without getting to actually read about what happened. Also Raistlin is a whiny obnoxious asshole and Tanis' evil girlfriend is a pain, and neither of them receive any comeuppance. Despite this every character in the book eventually dies horribly, having accomplished nothing, and then their children are all killed in battle as well, also accomplishing nothing.

Hey /lit/ maybe this is a weird question, but do you know of any esoteric texts/books that involve rituals that can affect reincarnation? In particular forcing lower forms of incarnation upon others as a punishment.

Interested in pagan and dharmic sources both

I'm reading a book right now and the amount of mumbo jumbo is honestly funny

>Given the vast array of definitions, frameworks, and theories of transformative learning, some organizational scheme is needed for summarizing this material. We could proceed historically which is loosely what Gunnlaugson (2008) does with his division of the literature into “first” and “second wave” theories. The first wave centers on Mezirow's groundbreaking work and includes Mezirow's own refinements as well as research building on, and critiquing his theory. The second wave includes those who depart from Mezirow's rationalistic perspective and expand transformative learning to include holistic, extrarational, and integrative perspectives. Dirkx (1998) proposed four lenses for understanding transformative learning—emancipatory, cognitive, developmental, and spiritual-integrative, and Taylor (2008) suggested that Mezirow's psychocritical approach could be augmented by neurobiological, cultural-spiritual, race-centric and planetary conceptions. For this chapter we have chosen a more recent organizing scheme which seems to include all the various perspectives. Cranton's three-part framework (in press) consists of the cognitive perspective, beyond rational, and social change.

This is how i make notes when reading a book:
>Read book, underline passages that i find interesting
>Once i finish a chapter, write down the passages and any comments in my notebook
>Once i finish the book, i type all my notes into a word file and save it for future references

>be me
>finish work on Friday evening
>browse internet, eat food, don't quite feel relaxed enough for a Friday
>go driving and then drink coffee in car
>go to gym to do light cardio (hadn't gone to gym since Sunday) but decide to lift weights and it goes very well
>go home, browse internet in bed, sleep
>wake up at 9.30
>browse internet (2 hours pass in a lightning quick manner; still unsure what happened here)
>play vidya for 2 hours
>eat regular food
>go driving outside, go walking for just over an hour while listening to a podcast, walk down a path I didn't know existed
>drank coffee in car while browsing internet on phone
>go to gym, do light cardio
>have medium fast food binge
>now at home, browsing internet

I don't quite have that weekend feeling. Normally Saturday evening would feel pretty good. The gym and fast food binge did give me some optimism for work but I worry I am doomed among normies. My boomer manager hates me and I worry about being fired.

I am waiting for answers from 4 job interviews and have 2 next week lol. If I don't get a new job after all these interviews over the past few months then this may be the biggest JUST ever.

When I read books or play vidya I always feel pressure to spend more time on things in one go. The Taylorism spook is at its strongest when I'm trying to have fun. It's weakest when I'm in my actual job. And internet browsing is like opium.

Hey look, it's the Sedevacantist troll who admitted weeks ago that he doesn't actually to church. For the record, I don't engage in le epic internet war between Catholics and Orthodox. I think people should go to whatever parish they like the most in their area. To those ITT, please do not give this pathetic man any (You)s; he exists only to spread vitriol.

This is just sad really. Whoever wrote that poem clearly waster not only her youth, but about half her adult life and is trying to cope. By fifty you should have kids in their adulthoods (maybe even grandkids) and looking forward to retirement, not "beginning the show"

see this is why i cannot fully support abortion. Not because i think a fetus is alive or should be preserved (especially when it's from a niggress or has a birth defect), but because women should not make such decisions, and they definitely should not get any satisfaction from them.

For some reason i get really pissed off when i see an attractive woman. Makes me want to slash em up. It's the worst exactly after i cum (both when jacking off and having sex with a girl). I get this moment of clarity where i just have nothing but contempt for women who are extremely good looking.
Any psychologists here who can explain this?
