One of the greatest writers of all time. Reading anything by him is pure bliss. He triggers pseuds so much because they don't understand him. And I don't mean that they didn't get what his novels are about, but more so that his purpose for writing and what he strove to achieve is lost on them. Even on this board anons will have a meltdown over not getting Fin Wake, despite the point of the novel being expressed as early as the Proteus chapter in Ulysses where Stephen muses on the plasticity of language. A shame, truly, because Joyce himself thought that every reader could get something out of his work, given a little effort (but people on here don't read).

I've had at least a few discussions on T.S Eliot this week on /lit/, so I wouldn't say he's too unpopular. You are right that it's strange he isn't exalted more on this board since, at least in regards to talent, he's pretty close to the like of Joyce. They were even good friends
