I literally can't start the Greeks because I don't trust translations. Or any other foreign author for that matter. It feels like I'm doing an disservice to the text by reading some second-hand regurgitation.
What are the languages should I prioritize learning in order to net the greatest literature. I am most definitely starting with French without question (one of the easiest for native English speakers to learn; for the Assimil courses, which many are only in French; and Guenon, of course), but what comes next? German? I want to put of Ancient Greek until I'm absolutely ready for it.
