Honestly, it's not even the fact that he doesn't know all those authors because it is kind of a trail to read that much. It's that he assumes that just because he has never heard of Aquinas, Bacon, Grosseteste, Augustine (which he should have heard), Boethius, Alcuin, Maimonides, Averroes and other clearly medieval philosophers (and in the case of several of the above mentioned, scientists and mathematicians), that nothing happened for fucking 1500 years when I can literally pull any book by the above mentioned and disprove that instantaneously. It goes to show you that the modern world is degenerating mentally as well as spiritually and physically. Even illiterate primeval tribesmen don't do this.
