Was simping for women always part of western culture or does that simply derive from medieval Christianity and courtly love? The Romans and Greeks never showed women the same affection and love that people in the Middle Ages did.

Nigga this is a classic damsel-in-distress piece. Anne is the threatened maiden, the Confederates are the noble knights come to her rescue, and the Nazis are the dragon/brigands who may seem intimidating, but are in fact all bark and no bite.
