Locke and Key: an incredible Lovecraft esque series that is brilliant from the second issue to the last (the first issue suffers from the characters being overly witty but it's still a decent start).

The art is incredible, the writing is incredible, the plot is incredible; it has everything. Don't look up the plot because lots of twats on the Internet post spoilers.

Also, 100 Bullets, History of Violence and Ex Machina are must reads. If you like soppy stuff then Blankets is also recommended.
