I can't wrap my head around the fact that so many people are content with having a 9-5 job. It feels surreal to me that we just eagerly throw away such an incredible amount of our finite time on this world, even more so when we know it wasn¡t like this for most of human history. Fucking medieval serfs worked less hours than an average salaryman today.
This is waht convinced me the NPC meme is true. People waste their lives working and once they are off work they continue to waste their precious time with shit like social media, tv and the like. They either lack the most fundamental aspect of what makes us human or have it so warped and deformed from years of institutional adoctrination that can't even comprehend life could be more than working-entertainment-fucking-sleeping.
I honestly hate most of left wing politics, but I will vote whatever party advocates for the 4 day work week, UBI, etc. I fucking hate Protestants and their shit work ethic, they brought us the literal death of the soul of most of mankind and the most degenerate, souless era in the whole of human history.
All I ever want to do is work on something that I can find fulfilling, read, learn languages, meditate and enjoy nature, but I guess my corporate overlords know what's better for society.
