So, just purchased this and Authority.
What should I expect, /lit/?

Give it straight to me /lit/.
How bad is this? Is full of identity politics shit?

Has anybody checked out The Southern Reach trilogy? Just finished all three up last week, thought they were pretty good. The ambiguity at the end was too bad.

So I just finished this and so far I like it. I have a feeling I won't get any kind of satisfying answer at the end of the series but I'm going to read the others anyway.

Thoughts, anons?

Can anyone tell me about Jeff Vandermeer's work?

His Southern Reach Trilogy seems kind of interesting to me, but I also see he's done a Steampunk story or two somewhere which raises red flags.

Do you recommend him? Is there anything worthwhile, aesthetically or philosophically in there?

If I love Mieville and Lovecraft, will I like VanderMeer?

So this caught my attention because it's getting a film next year by the director of Ex-Machina, which was about as /lit/ as a flick can get.

Premise seems good, has anyone read it and can say it's worth recommending or not ?

What are some books about exploring an unknown area similiar to pic related but without any annoying subplots.

So Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer and the short story -30- by Laird Barron are getting movies. Is this a sign of an upswing for "Weird Fiction"?

Also, how shitty will they be?
