Got any recommendations? I'd prefer short story collections but novels are just as good.

Given the month, let's have a thread about some weird fiction or relatively niche horror authors. Instead of the usual gamut of Lovecraft, Ligotti, and Aickman, who are some contemporary authors you've enjoyed?
Brian Evenson is my favorite with Michael Cisco as a very close second. The former touches on a kind of mental twisting and confusion that really hits my nerve as far as horror goes, while Cisco is just absolutely nuts with his concepts and premises, fleshing them out with really fucking cool writing.
Some other authors I like in this oddly specific genre:
Christopher Slatsky
Jon Padgett
Matt Cardin
Colin Insole
Damian Murphy
Jonathan Wood
Simon Strantzas

I'm a big fan of Brian Evenson, especially his short stories. Any similar recommendations?
