Ender's Game. I don't consider it a very difficult read but it still has some depth to it by tackling certain moral questions. Holds up well too despite being close to 40 years old by now, with the notable exception of how it treats the internet.

I just finished it a few days ago. I enjoyed it. Not the best sci-fi I've ever read, but fun. I saw the twist coming a mile away though, especially when Mazer Rackham complained at Ender about expending his troops, offering a half-assed "well, you won't have unlimited ships when the REAL battle happens."

Also the pic represents exactly what I was thinking at the part with Valentine and Peter's little plot.
