Is there good science-fic being written nowadays? I recently got done with Robots, Foundation, and 2001, and am wanting to dedicate more time to sci-fi (or maybe even epic fantasy).

I tried to read The Martian yesterday and holy hell, is this boring! It reads like a 16-year old's facebook wall. There is no suspense at all.
