Little bloglost explain my psychological background and avoid eventual ad homs:
I come from a working class family. My dad is a blue collar worker in a petrochemical plant. My mom is a part time babysitter (she was a stay at home mom until all of us children became adults) I have many siblings.
I study a STEM subject at university while doing odd jobs to pay my rent and expenses.
My family comes from a very leftist background from both sides. We own Gramsci's handwritten Prison Notes.
During high school, I learned about Max Stirner by reading about him in philophy manual I've brought frok the library. I pirated the Ego and it's own the same day, and become fascinated with his philosophy, it made a lot of sense to me.
A few years later, between gamergay and the 2016 US election, I started shitposting on /pol/ and to my surprise, after I realized I couldn't argue with them in any way, I got "radicalized" by them, as they say.
The connection between Stirner and the so called "far right" (i don't believe in the left/right dicotomy) looked and still looks to me as the most obvious and logical thing ever. I learned years later that Stirner was one of Mussolini's favourite authors.
Yet, to this day I still see people (from what used to be /leftypol/ for example, or butterfly) claim that Stirner BTFOs fascism and similar movements, basically claiming that Stirner is a proto-Bookchin.
I can't really see the connection. Is it about the line about workers deciding to rise up if they wanted to? It was always obvious to me that was a theoretical argument debunking the concept of NAP and the like, not a thing that could seriously happen pragmatically.
It looks to me that many peiple use Stirner as a cope to escape from the reality they live in, i.e. this goes against my programming, so it's a spook.
Can someone tell me if they have a similar experience or if I'm wrong, and if I'm wrong, why?

I can't fucking read Stirner. I literally fell asleep yesterday and I couldn't care less for his style but I'm interested in his ideas. Is there anything else I can read instead of it ?
