I knew all the worthless fuckups of the science fiction and feminist fantasy crowd from the Bay area convention crowd of the 60s onward (Zimmer Bradley, Delaney, Ellison, Asimov, Kramer etc) were all pedophiles and pedophilia defenders but fucking hell I didn't know the Eddings were monstrous fuckups in their own way and were jailed for 11 counts of child abuse of two four year old adoptees, a girl and a boy.
Apparently they had a cage for them and shit.

Investigators during the trial noted that there were restraints on the walls, no lighting, and the strong smell of cat urine in the basement.
