I know people like that who also have borderline and will use their powers to gaslight """friends""" and basically make random people around them as miserable as possible for no reason while fronting to be their best friend. If you're lucky, they are too unstable to stay subtle and will sperg out so hard that nobody can deny they are evil incarnate, but many are too well for that.

It took me years but now I'm extremely skilled at spotting those people, but it's virtually impossible to convince people of the truth. "They are so sweet, and you're this boring weirdo, you're just being autistic, analyzing people with such detail. My gut tells me they are great."
And then they get fucked over. And they still crawl back the second the manipulator acts friendly again. This is not exclusively a female pathology, but I think it's an intensification of essentially female behaviour and uncommon in men. The men I know who do it are also generally far less skilled at it and rarely succeed with girls who aren't children or severely mentally ill, whereas the women can do it to almost anyone they want to.
