/a/ has an advantage of having consistent weekly releases and series' to mobilise and organise discussion around. With /lit/, once you leave a few classics, it's rare to have anyone to discuss the book with because no one else has read it. In lieu of having books held in common to discuss, it resolves to the same few classics or general/off topic threads that don't require any prior knowledge.
I do agree that /lit/ has a weaker board culture and it's posters less propriety than /a/, however.

This frog speaks true. "Thoughts" or "he was based" or other assorted one liners produce no discussion.

It astounds me that people here are so confident in their ability to prescribe complete replacements of all existing educational institutions,
despite the fact that they themselves are basement dwellers who only just read the Iliad a few months ago.

ayyoo newfags, there's a reason text-boards went the way of the dodo. No one used them, even the people who claimed to want them didn't use them. Stop wishing for it.

Anime isn't really associated with /pol/ or /r9k/. Actually, those sorts tend to yell "tranny" at anime images.

~6,500 replies a day
But 100 is way too low and based of erroneous inferences from thread IP numbers. I would guess it more likely ~600-1200 regulars

Browbeating me with insults is not an argument. You have not even explained your position other than so and so is white/women/minority.
