Is this the anti-war book/picture thread?

I found it terribly contrived, fatalistic, pessimistic and just dull. (Oh and sexist, but its Korean so it goes without saying)

Fellini's Nights of Cabiria

Tarkovsky's Stalker and Solaris are good, but trippy and difficult at first. I liked Ivan's Childhood a lot.

Read reviews of the others. See what you like.

It was moody and strange. Ever see his Stalker? A bit easier to take imo.

Though I prefer his earlier film, Ivan's Childhood

here on lit few people are truly educated and even those few rarely have the opportunity to express their repressed inner beauty.
these questions (i swear i'd translate them to latin myself) are too great to withhold them from your company, anon. it is a joy to ponder on how they would have sounded if spoken by horace:
1."to whom is it good?" would be "cui bono"
so short, so crispy, so transcendentally sublime
2."who claims it is good for him?"
it's my cocaine. i always share it when i have it, anon; all that is mine is yours; i'd never rob you of the extasy of intellectual fulfillment, of the feeling of truimph, of the joy of accomplishment, found once you have successfully translated something to latin. here, enjoy:
3."whereto does it lead? (what does it cause?)"
4."which deeds reflect it?"
5."what exclamation does support it?"
6."in which situation is it spoken and by whom?"
eat me, drink me, today you're my guest
