Hal was given DMT by Himself's ghost.

Then the AFR made him watch the entertainment. But because it was made for him, it didn't effect him the way it did other people. When the AFR invade the school, hal is paralyzed with the DMT that the ghost put on his toothbrush. We know the ghost can do this because Stice's bed, and we know the ghost did this because Pem's stash is missing from the ceiling tile. The ghost left the rest of it on the ground so Pem got expelled.

It's not that bad desu. Good call on the stopping drinking. I'm struggling with that right now. At least you're in college right? My undiagnosed whatever kept me out of college as I really don't like being looked at or talked about. Even today, but it was much worse when I was your age. I failed out of community college twice for that.

Unironically consider enlisting. The army has a loan repayment program, but you should really only use it if you've got a degree. They'll pay off student loans on your way in, assuming you keep your nose clean and stay out of trouble while serving. If you take that option you won't get free college after you get out though. Because you already had it, see.

Being an aspiring writer isn't 'making it.' It is, in fact, the opposite.

Most of the core userbase of /lit/ is like 'The Dilettante' from Thomas Mann's 1897 short story. Read it if you want to see the definitive /lit/ lifestyle in action.

The meme trilogy, the "/lit/ aesthetic" and the idea of 'starting from the beginning' are parts of a dilettante notion that attempts to encapsulate an art form through one's immersion in it, and one's knowledge of its extremes.
Surely if you can complete the best, greatest, and most difficult additions to the literary canon, you must at that point have become cultured! Once you have read and understood all, you must have at that point qualified for yourself an audience!

No, read for your own enjoyment only.

Engage with other people who have interesting ideas. Produce if you must, but not for the sake of producing, do it for the sake of the stories that have come out of your experience naturally.
A disdain for the mainstream can become a disdain for humanity at large. Don't fall prey to it or you isolate yourself even from those you imagine to be like you.
Go outside
