/lit/ became so toxic and self-absorbed that other communities began to take notice, such as tumblr and reddit, and more and more new users discovered /lit/. Some became delusional, while others fed the delusions by creating endless troll threads which turned into board-wide beliefs. Ironically, /lit/, once a small creative community where diversity was celebrated and green-text stories were shared, became so toxic that the mainstream internet community began using its memes in a sick parody of what they once were.
