all the classic literature and art you appreciate is the very best that civilization has to offer. it stood the test of time. if i transported you back to 50 years ago you would conclude art and science are stagnating because you're exposed to all the garbage pop art being created. garbage art has always existed and will always exist, it's not a sign that new and worthwhile art isn't being created. most artists are liberal and most great artists were liberal for their times.
