when i first came to the concrete realization of what i wanted from life and what kind of person I wanted to be (unfortunately very late) It gave me a sort of momentum and I actually lived it and improved my life drastically and made all sorts of personal progress, but one thing after another kept happening and I became demoralized and lost my momentum and its been like 2 years now and ive lost all of my progress

It feels impossible to kick start that kind of change and get some momentum going again but I dont know. I have to try because Im falling deeper and deeper into the abyss and running out of reasons to live and the ability to live quite rapidly. I wish i could recreate that perfect moment of clarity where i finally found direction and was like an arrow loosed from a bow afterwards. i could really use it right now

I suppose you are right. I think my only option is to think of something to say and use whatever pressure I feel from that as motivation to pull myself together the best I can. only alternative i see while living this kind of life is suicide. I just feel full shame as i wish i could get back into things while already in better condition, but it does not appear that that is a viable choice for me given my past failures. nothing to do but own it and try to keep looking forward I guess

Can you send it to me? It sounds based. If yes, I'll leave a temporary email when you reply

He did battle with the dragon and got burnt. He's still alive so he might come back, but he had a hell of a battle, bucko.

I’m not OP, he disappeared. I’m starting to get worried that someone kidnapped him to prevent him from speaking out

Notes on the Balanese Cockfight is a fun essay. Now that I think about it, reading up on Clifford Geertz and those who disagree with him might be a good way to get familiar with the field. Good luck on your studies fren.

Is philosophy useless and obsolete and is at best just self help?

Only nice people are allowed to participate in this thread. I'd be thankful if anybody could suggest some light-hearted books for nice people. Pretentious morons are asked to abandon this thread. Thank you.

Any suggestions?
