I really wish I could understand how my taste works when it comes to novels.
For example, I can acknowledge that dotf is objectively not a great story. I even agree with many of negative points listed here. But I still enjoy reading it.

Primal Hunter is really similar to it. But I hated it. I can even list some of my issues with it.
Uncaring MC for 99% of the story, then suddenly he is worried about his friends/family. His stupid unbelievable relationship with a billion(!) years old god. The invincible tutorial end boss, which he defeats with his multiverse unique bloodline.
Yet, other people can bring up similar points about dotf, while defending PH. But somehow, they don’t bother me in that story.

Anyway, I second dungeon crawler carl. Also, 12 miles below because I haven’t seen anyone talk about it here.
