/lit/ is plenty productive. We have semi-active literary critique threads, we've done collaborative writing, we have a huge recommendations wiki, we've held reading groups, we've published zines, and we have philosophical debates all the time. /tv/ is way less productive.

Dear /lit/,

The more I hang out here, the more I'm convinced that very few people here actually read books on a regular basis.

When you all talk about books, all you mention are superficial ideas that other people say about the books on this board, then regurgitate them over and over.

So from now on, when we talk about books, we must reference actual events in the book or speak with more depth about the book.

Oh, and if you haven't read a book, you may not speak about it unless you have read something from that author and make a judgement based on that.
