hey /lit/

what should I study next year at university? I live in Australia and was highly considering studying a bachelor of arts (majoring in political economy) combined with a bachelor of commerce (majoring in marketing).

Any suggestions? Should I combine arts or commerce with law? how hard is law?

Hello, /lit/. I am a pleb just getting into reading so I've been lurking for a while.

However, one tendency I've noticed on a lot of 4chan's boards is that people are better off completely ignoring the most common advice (SS+GOMAD, archaeologist pick-up line, watching Texhnolyze, PhD in Math $300k starting etc.), as most of it tends to be an elaborate troll. As a matter of fact, doing the exact OPPOSITE seems to be the best course of action.

Based on /lit/'s advice, the most obvious thing I've concluded neccessary, no, imperative to do, is reading Atlas Shrugged. So far I've been enjoying it, although it seems a bit too long.

What's the most counter-intuitive piece of advice you've followed to your satisfaction?
