I only read at a rate of 3 syllables per minute for 2 ours a day. It allows me to grasp the full emotion of the Sounds that make up the words.
It also means I haven't finished reading a book since the third grade.
But War & Punishment is coming along nicely.
Thou I will ave to reread it for the plot.
*Sigh*

I love the epic scope of this book, its Crimean war setting that zooms in on these incredibly tormented yet realistically rendered characters

I tried to read it. I'm not sure on whether it's because the book is bad or because the translation was bad, but I could not get past 1/3 of it. It is extremely boring and slow, and doesn't seem to talk about any philosophy. It is most likely just a shitty autobiography the dude tried to write.
I'm a pretty big fan of Dostoevsky, but don't waste your time on that one.
