/lit/ - Literature

It's fucking appealing how few people there are on this board who actually post about books they've read. I checked - out of 150 threads on the catalog, only about 30 (and that was me being generous) had an OP actually relating to a specific work of literature.
Maybe if more people went out of their way to make threads that weren't just open-ended questions ("what are some books?") this place would be in better shape. There are some genuinely well-read people on this board, but they never start threads. Too many OPs treat /lit/ like it's "intellectual /b/."
If the mods and jannies actually gave a shit about this board, there wouldn't be any problems. "Just talk about books" is a pretty fucking simple rule, but there's no one to enforce it.
