Is there a philosopher or something of the sort I can read that has guidelines that I could follow to live my life in a more fulfilling way? Someone like Epicurus but that actually has writings that I could follow.

Could anyone explain to me the essential differences between stoicism and epicurianism? As far as I understand, the former tries to achieve a life uninterested in pleasures, while the latter considers them the actual way of achieving eudaimonia... But what could I add to that to have a good distinction in my head?

Here is a passage from Epicurus' letter to Herodotus:

>The moving body itself, however, cannot reach several places at the same time, speaking in terms of time contemplated by reason; for that is unthinkable.
>Yet when considered as arriving in perceptible time from any point at all in thee unlimited, it will not be departing from the place from which we comprehensively grasp its motion as having come from. For it will be like resistance even if to this point we leave the speed of the movement free from resistance. The retention of this basic principle too is useful.

I'm struggling to understand what exactly Epicurus means by this. The unlimited is the totality consisting of all bodies and the void. Any insights?
