Not really but I discovered some great literature that I relate to.

Well, reading is kind of my main interest or "hobby" that has sort of replaced or at least overtaken music, movies, video games, etc. and I find it more rewarding so although my life on the whole has basically gotten worse it has nothing to do with being a reader which has absolutely been something positive. For a while I was really into theory. I've seen how too much theory can turn someone into an insufferable psycho (looking at my ex). Theory is certainly a genre that can make your life "worse" in a way if you are too immersed in it as it can make you very paranoid and cynical about culture, society and even people in your life. I still read it but I've definitely mellowed out and I'm a lot more self aware about how it comes off in a social setting.
