Start with reading Norris on Deconstruction. Move on to Caputo, after that start reading Derrida.

Start with Rogues, then check out Margins of philosophy, Writing and Difference, and finally Of Grammatology.

Again just make sure you check out a lot of the secondary literature.

Can "laziness" be a heroic/tragic flaw?

I've been thinking.

Suppose you could have your own home, /lit/. A fully paid house with all the comforts that you enjoy or would want to enjoy in the future. (High speed internet, food, every book ever written etc.) Also, you could have your dream girl, or dream game girl, or a friend to love and cuddle with forever, whatever your heart desires.

Here's the catch: You cannot leave your house ever again. The second you step out you go into full cardiac arrest and the dreamworld goes black. If you choose not to take advantage of this, you remain just as you are today- no guarantees of anything.

Cloud let out a soft whimper, the oxygen mask covering his face felt chilly against his skin... Opening his eyes after a long night of screaming, bags under his eyes starting to form, Zack himself was unconscious beside Cloud’s tube, his head resting slightly against his shoulder. Cloud began to shiver… he could never move his arms while immersed in the concoction of Mako and who knows what else.

A soft cackle disrupted his shivering and miserable thoughts. Hojo was peering at him… The Scientist’s eyes glimmering dangerously with lunacy, as if Hojo was planning something. Turning to one of the assistants who were always there Zack always called them ‘Lab-jerks’ Hojo ordered for his tank to be drained. As soon as the code was punched in, Cloud felt it… as if he weighed more then his atrophied and underfed body actually weighed; due to being weightless for so long. Falling onto his knees; then to his belly dressed only in a pair of boxer shorts… Cloud felt a blush of embarrassment rise in his cheeks.

One of the larger guards grasped Cloud none-to gently; dragging him over to the exam table nearby. Shivering as cold metal contacted his pale skin; goose bumps rising all over his skin. Hearing something tearing… sounding like cloth… and the sudden coldness touching his entire body, his legs quickly strapped into very tight and hard leather restraints. Cloud began to panic; with the panic came one of Hojo’s favorite tools… a drug that paralyzes the subject enough that they can only breathe… and feel what is going on. His throat ached still; raw from the nightmares he had every night… and could not remember what they were about… As the paralyzing drug set in, Cloud felt sickness rising up in his throat; as if the burning bile rising burned him with the chemical acidic taint of Mako.
