The worst call centers are absolute meme-tier corporate shitholes. I've literally been given shit for singlehandedly saving a dying contract for a month over its date, made the company 70k they wouldn't have had otherwise, all on my own time. Imagine having to change an emergency contact for state-wide 911 calls on a Saturday, only to be told you have to send an email to a team in a different country which speaks a different language and ask them to do it, then get an automated response that that department will be back open on Monday. Then you figure on your own how to do it in the programming, and then call the client to give them your personal number so they can call you to make changes instead of the company, because they are too retarded to understand they'll lose the contract otherwise. This goes on for a month. Then we lose the contract. Then two months later you get called by HR (which is also in another country) to explain yourself over it to someone you have never seen and never spoken to before.
