Not that anon but same, I wasn't properly introduced to Hindu/Dharmic thought as a child so I had to learn it as an adult. Tha nkfully, the threads on Hindu literature on this board are really helpful and easy going. I believe Sri Shankaracharya wrote a commentary on Atma-Bodha that might interest you. Best of luck anon

I'm Indian. Many Western Indians grow up detached from their culture and religion. This was especially true for me and I wrote-off all religions as superstition because I went through that edgy-teenage atheist phase a lot of young people go through. I actually only became interested in Hinduism after I began reading the Upanishads and learning about different schools. Currently, I'm trying to learn more about Kashmiri Shaivism. I think Hinduism has helped me a lot. The world is certainly confusing and I think a sense of emptiness and loss really does afflict people but I'm far less susceptible to fall into that soul-crushing existential dread that some suffer from. How'd you get interested in Hinduism?
