the only LNs I've read was Haruhi Suzumiya, after that I read the one OP is reading (but only make to third novel because the fourth wasn't translated yet) and the last one is To Aru Majutsu no Index
of my own perception, really depends who "write the novel", most of them are Shounens but the writer can't drawn and this is the last thing he can do.
Suzumiya Haruhi was fun until the last chapters of the last volume (is not finished yet) the new characters, the mysteries behind Haruhi make a good and interesting narrative where you got a protagonist and a non-typical tsundere.
Zeroth Maria was interesting in the way they make the mazes and the games, and it's pretty ok, keep reading.
the last one, To Aru no Index, is great when the main character is not "the main character" in the story, the guy make more fun narrative with the anti-hero, after that, this is it: just a typical shonen, with an obnoxious tsundere.
