I got in trouble on my local NaNoWriMo forum. The moderator went so far as to edit my post and yell at me. Here's the little story I posted, when prompted by someone else to write something.


She had been collecting small bits of cloth for weeks. The texture was irrelevant, but she liked the look of polka-dots, houndstooth, and plaid. Each time she found an old article of clothing she could snatch a piece from she would hold her tarnished heirloom scissors between thumb and forefinger and cut out a small square bit and stuff it in her pocket. After weeks of collecting these small fragments of cloth [... section deleted ...] He walked to her and marveled at how peaceful she looked, her arms laid one over the other across her chest. He leaned in and gave her one last kiss.

"Goodnight my love. Also you taste like [expletive]."

What does creative fiction mean to you, /lit/?

It sucks. There's little to no rhyme scheme, a horrendous rhythm, and no meter at all.
It reads like a 12 year old, wannabe rapper wrote it.
